Hate-Bias Response Team
The Hate Bias Response Team (HBRT) stands at the intersection of care, and education. The HBRT exists to respond to hate-bias incidents with urgency, empathy, and integrity. HBRT meets bi-weekly to discuss bias incident reports, review options available to those impacted, and advise BISS team members for when they meet with individuals or groups.
The Hate Bias Response Team does not replace formal university procedures for addressing student conduct, discrimination, or violations of criminal law. Instead, we work alongside these existing structures to ensure bias incidents receive a coordinated response. The Hate Bias Response Team is composed of representatives from key campus offices and units, including:
