Hope, Healing, Mobilizing: Lessons from Trans Liberation Movements
-
to - Event Location McKeldin Library Special Events Room (6137)
This is our 6th gathering in a series since February 2024 of events to build more community, capacity, and connection among the students, staff, and faculty at UMD who are centering racial and social justice in their work and life. Our time together will offer a few key opportunities for us:
- to get to know each other better and build trust and connection across campus coalitions,
- to show an ethic of care and love during this time,
- to break out of our silos,
- to build capacity for this particular chapter of the work towards racial justice, and
- to center taking care of our bodies during this time.
There will be a keynote and facilitated dialogue for participants to learn about and discuss Lessons from Trans Liberation Movements.
Please note the schedule below:
- 12:00 PM: Lunch & Welcome
- 12:30 PM to 4:30 PM: Session on Lessons from Trans Liberation Movements
- 4:30 PM: Trans Remembrance Vigil
